How To Work Online
Let's, in general terms, figure out how the Internet works.
All computers online can be roughly divided into two groups, servers and clients.
Serves are powerful, reliable computers operating 24 hours a day. They are continuously connected to the Internet, able to store and transmit information upon request from other computers, while responding to dozens and hundreds of requests at the same time.
Clients are personal Internet users ' computers that can generate and send requests to servers, receive and display information. Such a computer is often not connected to the Internet at all times, but is connected as necessary.
In order to connect to the Internet, we call on special Internet service providers.
The Internet provider is an organization that provides access to the network Internet Your Internet server. Users ' computers (clients) are connected to the service provider ' s server on telephone lines, a dedicated channel or wireless network. In turn, the service provider servers are connected to the Internet with permanent high-speed lines.
The Internet is equipped with appropriate software, such as a browser, which prepares and sends a request to the server, then receives and displays information on the monitor ' s screen. The server, in turn, has its software that stores information and responds to customer software requests.
